Join the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) and HRSA in celebration of Health Care Risk Management Week, June 17 – 21, 2024!

The 2024 theme is "Prioritizing Safety, Mitigating Risk."

Risk professionals play a critical role within health care settings that you interact with throughout the calendar year. To celebrate, health centers submitted photos that capture their risk management and patient safety professionals, who work to ensure health center patients receive safe and trusted health care. Mobile County Health Department Family Oriented Primary Health Care

As the birthplace of Mardi Gras, the Mobile County Health Department (MCHD) capitalizes on this annual celebration by incorporating infection control elements, like the importance of handwashing through social media platform messaging encouraging the prevention of harm and mitigating risks such as the spread of infections for patients, families, and employees.

Mobile County Health Department Family Oriented Primary Health Care

The Mobile County Health Department (MCHD) released a FREE smartphone app containing various public and patient health tools in 2022. The smartphone app has recently been updated to include a new tool to track local “Heat Risk.” The tool is a health-based heat forecast developed by the NWS and the CDC. Heat risks identification in our community helps to prevent harm, identify and mitigate risks, and promote safe, high-quality health care for patients, families, and employees.
